About Family Facility Finder
Helping families find the facilities they need
Family Facility Finder is a free, community-maintained directory designed to help parents and caregivers find useful family facilities before heading out.
Why we built it
It started with a problem we experienced ourselves
Family Facility Finder started with a simple problem we experienced as new parents: finding somewhere suitable to change our baby was not always easy.
We could usually find the nearest shopping centre, library or public facility, but finding out what family facilities were actually available was much harder.
Did it have a baby change table? Was there a parents room? Could Dad access the changing facilities, or were they located inside the women's toilets? Was there somewhere private to feed a baby?
Too often, we would not know until we arrived. We could not find a map or directory that reliably answered those questions, so we decided to build one.

Built to improve over time
Family Facility Finder is not intended to be a static list. Facilities change, new venues open, parents rooms are renovated and sometimes information online is simply out of date.
That is why we are building the directory around community contributions. Parents, caregivers and venue operators can add missing venues, confirm existing information and let us know when something has changed.
Every contribution helps make the directory more useful for the next family who needs it.
Where we are now
Growing across Australia
Family Facility Finder currently includes verified venues in Victoria and New South Wales, with new locations being researched, submitted and verified regularly.
We are continuing to expand the directory across Australia, with more states and territories planned as the project grows.
